Contrary to popular belief, great minds don’t always think alike, but their combined efforts can lead to some creative insights. Such was the case during an April gathering of Global Traveler’s Globility Board when members flew in from the four corners of the Earth to convene with members of Starwood’s Leisure Travel Advisory Board. The setting at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Ariz., offered an unrivaled opportunity to relax and have fun — spa treatments, a desert Jeep tour and a Western-style barbecue were in the mix — but we also got down to business during in-depth discussions about luxury leisure travel. The results? Everything from innovative service tweaks that will knock the socks off luxury leisure travelers to revelations about the benefits a travel agent can offer even the most experienced world travelers. Stay tuned. We’ll address some of the insights in coming issues. In the meantime, join the party.
