Palumbo Family Vineyards & Winery
The Palumbo family have been participants in the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance since 2002. The family-owned winery was one of the first in Temecula Valley to become certified in the program.

In 2011, the winery became the first in Temecula Valley to achieve Certified California Sustainable Winegrower designation. The sustainable strategy includes erosion control and the use of native crops.

This winery received a certificate as a California Sustainable Winegrowing operation in 2023. It is also the region’s first winery solely powered by solar energy.

These sister wineries have been certified sustainable since 2013 and 2018, respectively. Sustainability initiatives focus on resource conservation, particularly water use.

Vineyard manager Greg Pennyroyal helped introduce an extensive regenerative agriculture program to this vineyard seven years ago. The rigorous program includes plant sap analysis, soil health assessments and harmful insect monitoring, as well as collaborative studies with other local organizations.
