The Webster, a new, design-forward lifestyle hotel brand, just made its debut with The Webster Covent Garden in London, United Kingdom. The 167-room hotel overlooks Lincoln’s Inn Fields square, bringing thoughtful design, literary inspiration, distinctive food and drink, and extensive programming to one of the city’s most beloved neighborhoods.
Accommodations span guestrooms and suites across 10 floors. Each space features carefully selected amenities, like Robert Radios and hand-chosen books, Mid-Century bespoke furniture, Malin + Goetz bath products, Dyson hair dryers on request, and The Webster’s Complimentary Water Program. On each floor, guests will also find a curated collection of books to enjoy throughout their stay and exchange to discover something new.
The hotel’s literary connections extend to Webster Book Club, a signature program gathering readers and travelers to foster conversation through weekend brunches, guided runs, live music, cocktail pairings, coffee tastings and more. For the ultimate literary link, the hotel actually sits near where Charles Dickens studied law and drew inspiration for some of literature’s most enduring characters.
A trio of food and beverage venues celebrates the culture and liveliness of Italy. Signature restaurant Carmelina’s occupies the lower ground floor, offering Italian-inspired dishes across an open kitchen, counter dining and dedicated wine bar. Upstairs, guests can enjoy Carmelina’s Al Banco, an all-day café-bar concept inspired by the neighborhoods of Milan. The space transforms from morning coffee and breakfast to lunch before transitioning to aperitivo and evening drinks.
And for late-night tipples, Carla’s promises guests a journey to the hidden Italo-disco bars of Italy, combining craft cocktails and curated drinks with entertainment.
The Webster Covent Garden also offers meeting and event spaces, as well as a 24/7 fitness suite.
Looking ahead, The Webster eyes New York with plans to debut The Webster Times Square in 2027.

The National Trust owns more than 500 historic buildings across the United Kingdom, each offering a vivid sense of its particular era. In common with many visitors, I often find myself wondering what it would be like to actually live in such a place. Imagine sitting, for instance, in one of those ancient oak-paneled drawing rooms at night, with the fire roaring and the wind rattling the ancient mullioned windows. I didn’t have to imagine it. Here I was, immersed in history in 17th-century Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales.
