Beginning Aug. 3, 2027, Lufthansa will offer non-stop flights between Phoenix, Arizona (PHX), and Munich, Germany (MUC). The year-round service will operate via an Airbus A350-900 and feature Lufthansa’s Future Onboard Experience (FOX), the airline’s long-haul service concept first introduced on intercontinental flights earlier this year.
The inaugural MUC–PHX flight departs Munich Airport at 1:20 p.m. and arrives at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 4 p.m. The return flight leaves Phoenix at 5:50 p.m. and lands in Munich the following day at 1:25 p.m.
Lufthansa’s second new U.S. route connects Columbus, Ohio (CMH), with Frankfurt, Germany (FRA). This new route starts May 5, 2027, making Lufthansa the first airline offering The Arch City direct, trans-Atlantic flights to the heart of Europe.
The new service will operate three times weekly via a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The inaugural flight departs Frankfurt Airport at 11:15 a.m. and arrives at John Glenn Columbus International Airport at 2 p.m. The return flight departs Columbus at 4:20 p.m. and arrives in Frankfurt at 6:15 a.m. the following day.
The new CMH–FRA route will also feature Lufthansa’s new Allegris cabin, bringing a redesigned travel experience across all four cabins.

Oct 21, 2026Review: Bodysgallen Hall
The National Trust owns more than 500 historic buildings across the United Kingdom, each offering a vivid sense of its particular era. Here I was, immersed in history in 17th-century Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales.
