President Obama today announced new initiatives to increase travel and tourism in the United State. Most notable among the initiatives is the streamlining of visa application procedures that would make it easier for tourists from China and Brazil to visit the US.
The Executive Order signed today charges several agencies to take part in efforts to increase travel and tourism in the United States, including the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Commerce.
The President said that more than 1 million American jobs could be created over the next decade if the U.S. increased its share of the international travel market.
