Celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary are still in full swing across the nation. In Washington, D.C., storied Conrad Washington, D.C. wants visitors to the capital to encounter the city on a local level. With that in mind, the property introduced a selection of signature Conrad 1/3/5 Experiences — a collection of one-, three- and five-hour jaunts providing an insider’s glimpse into how residents enjoy the city.
“D.C. has so many layers to discover, and we wanted to give guests a more effortless way to tap into the city’s culture, food, art and history,” said Dale MacPhee, general manager, Conrad Washington, DC. “The 1/3/5 Experiences are designed to make even a short stay feel meaningful, with memorable ways to see the capital through a more local lens.”
Centrally located, the hotel is ideally positioned to take advantage of a variety of activities.
Those short on time can choose the one-hour Oysters and Wine Tasting Experience, an indulgence showcasing freshly shucked oysters paired with outstanding Virginia sparkling wines. Have three hours? Enjoy a customized bicycle tour with DC Cycling Concierge and guided visit to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. This outing includes a rye whiskey tasting inspired by President Washington’s own original recipe.
Those with five hours to fill can choose a cultural expedition that includes a foray to Glenstone Museum to enjoy contemporary art and chef-prepared dining; or a tour of Virginia’s lovely wine country, complete with tastings at celebrated local vineyards.
