The height of London’s social season is underway, and one of London’s most luxurious hotels celebrates with a collection of new experiences. From a collaboration with Cowdray Park Polo Club to a Laurent-Perrier partnership to welcome Wimbledon to the debut of Garden Room Terrace, The Lanesborough has an exciting summer lined up.
New Garden Room Terrace
One of The Lanesborough’s newest additions, this leafy outdoor retreat lies tucked away from Hyde Park Corner and is the go-to spot for elegant cocktails and seasonal dining. The terrace is helmed by Yeni Momblan, head of cigars, one of London’s few female cigar sommeliers who curates a fine collection of rare Cuban cigars.
Celebrate Wimbledon with Laurent-Perrier
In the hotel’s new Garden Room Terrace, celebrate one of the world’s most anticipated sporting events with Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Iteration No. 27 alongside Kentish strawberries and cream, offering a refined take on one of the country’s most celebrated summer traditions throughout the championship.
Have an Afternoon Tea with a Polo Twist
In partnership with Cowdray Park Polo Club, The Lanesborough presents its new Cowdray Cream Tea, served in The Withdrawing Room. Enjoy freshly baked scones with clotted cream and house preserves alongside the signature Cowdray’s Cup cocktail. In addition to this special experience, the hotel’s grand entrance has been transformed with floral displays and curated polo memorabilia.
Enjoy a Picnic in London’s Finest Parks
The Lanesborough, in partnership with Laurent-Perrier, redefines the traditional picnic with a curated basket, complete with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, smoked salmon blinis, Sutton Hoo chicken and smoked ham pie, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and English strawberries with vanilla Chantilly.
Try The Lanesborough Grill’s New Summer Menu
Crafted by executive chef Shay Cooper, the new summer menu at The Lanesborough Grill showcases the colors, favors and provenance of an English summer. Highlights include native lobster risotto, sea bream carpaccio, The Lanesborough beef Wellington for two, Scottish halibut, strawberry and lemon trifle, apple and blackberry crumble soufflé, and signature “Irish Coffee” hazelnut choux bun.

Aug 11, 2026Get an Insider’s Look at Napa Valley’s Busiest Season
If you haven’t been to wine country during harvest season, have you really been to wine country? Vineyards buzz with workers plucking sun-ripened clusters while the winery hums with sorting tables and presses gently extracting precious juice and tannins. In the cellar, the air is perfumed with an intoxicating cuvée of baking bread and grapes as vats alive with bubbling juice are tended to by the winemaker’s watchful eyes. For wine lovers, the experience is nothing short of magical. It also offers a newfound appreciation to the hard work behind every bottle in a way that simply bellying up to a tasting bar never could. Napa Valley has perfected the art of the harvest celebration with festivals, dinners, tastings, hands-on experiences and, of course, the opportunity to literally feel grapes between your toes.
