A new, independent luxury boutique hotel debuts in the heart of Savannah, Georgia’s, historic district this December. Sabal House bridges past and present by uniting two restored, 1885 Federal-style twin townhomes overlooking Oglethorpe Square with a modern, airy mass timber architecture.
The 64-key property will be managed by Hay Creek Hotels and Restaurants and give guests a special vantage point to soak in Savannah’s timeless charm. Guestrooms boast preserved dark woods and historic Savannah brick. The new architectural wing will not only include reclaimed mass timber but also smooth river stones and rugged tabby construction.
In early 2027, Oak Steakhouse will open in the hotel, bringing classic American fare, exceptional steaks and a curated wine program to Savannah. To celebrate its mid-December opening, the hotel will transform into a festive winter retreat with seasonal craft beverages, holiday traditions and more.
Sabal House will also offer a collection of experiences, like spa amenities, private picnic baskets tailored for Oglethorpe Square, and guided tours to discover cultural gems and dining outlets.
