It’s not surprising to find European cities like London (LHR), Paris (CDG) and Rome (FCO) on American Airlines’ list of overseas destinations, but American is expanding its international routes to new hot spots.
Beginning this summer, American offers seasonal service to Reykjavik (KEF), Iceland; Budapest (BUD), Hungary; Prague (PRG), Czech Republic; and increased service to Venice (VCE), Italy. Americans can reach these destinations from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.
The Dallas–Reykjavik route debuted this summer, providing access to one of the more popular destinations of late. Word of mouth and strategic marketing made Iceland a desirable destination for Americans who can get there in as little as five hours.
Growing numbers of travelers also visit the Eastern European cities of Prague and Budapest, where a little goes a long way in terms of currency conversions and the American dollar. Flights to these two affordable cities depart from Philadelphia.
Finally, American will expand its service to Venice, Italy, by offering flights from Chicago, which will join the already existing service from Philadelphia.
