For those wishing to see this in person, Abercrombie & Kent released guided tours and itineraries to Beerenberg Volcano, one of the northernmost active volcanoes in the world.

Abercrombie & Kent’s Arctic Cruise Adventure: In Search of the Polar Bear invites guests to embrace their inner explorer on this 13-night journey. The voyage features an exclusive shore expedition to Jan Mayen, a rugged island and home to Beerenberg Volcano. In cooperation with the weather and volcano conditions, guests have the chance to disembark on this off-the-beaten-path island to explore its meteorological station and encounter colonies of northern fulmars, little auks, thick-billed guillemots and black guillemots. The once-in-a-lifetime tour will also include a photography lecture led by a dedicated photo coach to ensure each shot is Instagram-worthy.
