Château Lou Casteou, together with internationally renowned LaPont French Immersion tours, just launched a new, 10-day luxury French Immersion Retreat, the first of its kind on the Côte d’Azur.
From Sept. 5 to 14, guests will be able to commence their French language journey as beginners or those wishing to brush up on their skills, all while staying in a luxury château with breathtaking views across the picturesque Estérel mountains and Bay of St Tropez.
The Château Lou Casteou retreat offers interactive French workshops, together with curated á la carte activities including vineyard tours and wine tasting, chef-led visits to local food markets and drinks parties, scenic coastal walks, cultural tours, French culinary workshops, cocktail receptions, and black-tie gala dinners. LaPont has hosted French immersion residential retreats since 2006.
The all-inclusive French immersion and cultural language program promises an authentic immersive experience, embracing the relaxed “Riviera Way of Life.” Guests can engage in tailored small-group French lessons at the château, complemented by informal conversational practice with teachers and hosts, present and available throughout the entire journey.
Guests will also enjoy gourmet meals prepared by an in-house French chef and served by the Château’s professional team, either alfresco by the pool, under the cloisters in the courtyard or in the elegant dining rooms within Château Lou Casteou.
The retreat includes nine nights of luxurious en-suite accommodations in a classic French style, with either coastal or mountain views; large breakfast and lunch buffets featuring local produce, prepared by Executive French chef de cuisine; evening cocktails and Champagne served by the pool; elegant three-course dinners with Provençal wines; brunch and wine tasting at historic Château Saint Martin; dinner at French Riviera restaurant; black-tie gala dinner; 20 hours of French lessons with Fle (profession) French Teachers; opportunities for art sessions, yoga and wellness sessions; culinary lessons; and private airport transfers.
At the Château, there is also a year-round heated infinity swimming pool, home cinema, games room, table tennis and fully equipped gym.
A second tour will run from May 22 to 31, 2026, with additional tours also scheduled to run in 2026.

Oct 21, 2026Review: Bodysgallen Hall
The National Trust owns more than 500 historic buildings across the United Kingdom, each offering a vivid sense of its particular era. In common with many visitors, I often find myself wondering what it would be like to actually live in such a place. Imagine sitting, for instance, in one of those ancient oak-paneled drawing rooms at night, with the fire roaring and the wind rattling the ancient mullioned windows. I didn’t have to imagine it. Here I was, immersed in history in 17th-century Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales.
