Boston played host to the 2012 Global Business Travel Association convention. The travel industry descended upon the northeastern city in August, and to celebrate the industry-leading conference, Global Traveler hosted its seventh annual GBTA cocktail reception.
More than 100 guests soaked in striking views of Boston’s skyline from the 38th floor at the Downtown Harvard Club. Guests mingled with GT staff and enjoyed an eclectic cuisine of Asian, Italian and American specialties. A jazz duo and a spread of desserts were sweet complements to the celebration.
“The 2012 GBTA convention was, once again, a huge success, not only for the association but also for Global Traveler,” said Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO. “We could not have asked for a better venue with more unbelievable views than the Downtown Harvard Club. The company, of course, was wonderful; it is always an honor to celebrate a year of travel successes with our valued clients, partners and friends.”
August marked the 44th annual Global Business Travel Association convention, with more than 5,000 attendees from hotels, airlines, travel companies, travel publications and corporate travel departments. The 45th annual convention will be held in San Diego in August 2013.
