The ride-hailing service Uber is getting into the holiday spirit with free rides from select airports through Dec. 31. The only catch: You must have an American Express card.
To redeem a free ride, enter the promo code AMEXAIRPORT in the Uber app before you request a ride. You must also use an American Express card for payment. Participants can receive up to two free rides of up to a $65 value each. Pre-paid cards are not eligible for participation, lest you think of that as a strategy for getting around not having an American Express card.
Participating airports include LaGuardia Airport; John F. Kennedy International Airport; Newark Liberty International Airport; Chicago O’Hare International Airport; Chicago Midway International Airport; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport; Boston Logan International Airport; McCarran International Airport; George Bush Intercontinental Airport; Washington Dulles International Airport; and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The free trips are only good for trips from the above airports, so you do have to pay for a ride to the airport.
