This month, Explora Journeys announced it will enter the luxury river cruise market, signing a letter of intent with Dutch shipbuilder Den Breejen Shipyard for the construction of its first luxury river ships.
The brand aims to bring its same approach to ocean cruising to some of Europe’s most iconic rivers. Further details on ship design, onboard experiences, delivery schedules and initial itineraries will be announced at a later date. Sales are set to open in 2027.
Beyond its expansion into river cruising, Explora Journeys also continues its ongoing inaugural season in North America of its newest LNG-powered ship, Explora III. After the ship’s inaugural North American season, the vessel will venture to Miami for its Caribbean season.
