On Saturday, Feb.14, Devossion by Live Aqua celebrated its grand opening, marking a significant milestone for Grupo Posadas and the Live Aqua brand. This adults-only resort focuses on celebration, authentic Mexican experiences and elevated hospitality — perfectly situated in the heart of the Riviera Maya.
Travelers commemorating life’s greatest milestones find Devossion by Live Aqua’s blend of gastronomy, wellness and vibrant social energy makes for the perfect setting. The resort boasts 314 guestrooms and suites, including 175 ocean partial and front suites and 67 swim-up suites in the resort’s mangrove.

“As we celebrate 20 years of Live Aqua, Devossion by Live Aqua represents a new chapter for our brand portfolio,” said José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO, Grupo Posadas. “This resort was designed for today’s traveler who seeks energy, connection, and special experiences that go beyond the traditional concept of luxury hospitality. Its opening reinforces our commitment to innovation and to the continued growth of tourism in Quintana Roo and Mexico.”
At the heart of the resort is an expansive culinary and entertainment program offering seven restaurants, four bars, an exclusive lounge and a speakeasy concept. More comes in June 2026 when an amazing beach club, along with signature experiences like the 1:26 Champagne Toast and Kahlo Privé, opens. Guests at Devossion by Live Aqua can engage, connect and celebrate in a number of ways, from innovative mixology and culinary classes and interactive experiences like pottery workshops to guacamole tournaments, hands-on massage classes and more. Carnivore Prime Steakhouse, with Chef Gerardo Rivera at the helm, anchors the resort.

Wellness also sits at the forefront of the Devossion experience. Inspired by the destination’s natural cenotes, Cenote Spa combines modern luxury with the historical and spiritual significance of these sacred formations through cenote-inspired architecture, eight treatment rooms, a menu incorporating sacred Mayan practices, daily beachfront yoga, meditation and sound healing sessions.
Devossion Lounge, exclusive for suite guests, opens this summer, featuring sweeping oceanfront views and globally renowned DJs.
