Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto Review

Walk into the lobby at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto and the impeccable style and sophistication instantly whisk you away into an environment completely unlike the busy street outside — serene, protected and luxurious. It was late when I arrived, and I was in a poor mood due to my long day, but my personal life was soon forgotten as the staff attended to my every need, cheerily checking me in, offering me a hot towel and assuring I’d have everything I desired for the weekend ahead.

My one-bedroom deluxe suite was tucked down a short hallway on one of the upper floors. Dropping my luggage on the plush carpeting, I made my way around the space, exploring all it had to offer. Beyond the foyer, to the left, was a small powder room, and a large living space with a wet bar, fireplace and desk. Two of the four walls were filled with oversized windows, displaying views of the Toronto cityscape and a sliver of Lake Ontario beyond. Taking the opposite direction from the entryway, I found a spacious bedroom and a large master bath with heated marble floors, an in-mirror television, soaking tub and rain shower.

Very much pleased with my living arrangements for the next few days, I shortly settled into bed, but not without first using the bedside touch panel control to close the bedroom curtains and turn off the lights.

Throughout the next several days, I was continuously delighted with the superb added touches provided by the hotel. Rather than hanging a simple sign on the doorknob indicating a need for privacy, a slick keypad beside the door allows guests to request or deny service with just a button. Beyond the normal tea and coffee options, the wet bar provided fresh espresso. Every staff member I encountered was highly helpful and friendly, from the maids conducting nightly turndown service to the concierge, who happened to notice my husband and me returning from a day of sightseeing with a bottle of wine and offered to have a bucket of ice for chilling sent up to our room while we were still in the lobby.

In regards to location, I found Toronto a highly walkable city, and I traveled on foot from the hotel to many popular spots including CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market and Rogers Centre, with ease.

All in all, I was terribly disappointed when my stay was over. However, I’m already making plans to revisit Toronto and the Trump International Hotel & Tower soon.
