Later this year, Malliouhana in Anguilla celebrates its 40th anniversary. To commemorate, Malliouhana partnered with Tansy Wines, James Beard award-winning Sommelier Shelley Lindgren and marketing specialist Kitty Oestlien to produce an exclusive private label Vermentino and Rosé. Both sustainably grown and harvested in Northern California, these bottles embody Malliouhana’s newly launched wine program led by Lindgren and Anguilla’s first sommelier, Albert Lake.
Vermentino and Rosé will sport a custom label featuring artwork of local Anguilla artist Carmel Gumbs, known for his signature style of photorealism. The Vermentino label is designed with a panoramic painting of Malliouhana, capturing the modern-day glamor the 5-star resort is known for. The Rosé label is decorated with a mirror image of the entrance of Malliouhana, featuring the unique lush landscape that welcomes visitors.
“We wanted wines that reflected Malliouhana’s relaxed yet refined style,” said Logan Miller, managing director, Malliouhana. “Lindgren, Oestlien and the team at Tansy Wines have crafted wines that perfectly capture the vibrant and tropical character we’re known for in Anguilla. These two wines are a perfect complement to the culinary experiences at Malliouhana, available just in time for our 40th anniversary celebrations.”
The new wine labels and partnership aren’t the only way Malliouhana is celebrating its 40th anniversary; travelers can expect celebrations all year long, including boat racing, a carnival and more. Stay up-to-date with the monthly celebrations here.
