Did your favorite beach make this year’s list? The World’s 50 Best Beaches was just released, showcasing the results of votes from more than 1,000 of the world’s most prominent travel professionals.

The best beach in the world 2024 is none other than Trunk Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Travelers adore its soft sand and crystal-clear waters, but the beach also stands out thanks to its location within Virgin Islands National Park. The protected status of the area means the beach is quiet and peaceful, and its shape sees it sheltered from the Caribbean Tradewinds. Leatherback turtles are native to the area and vibrant reefs are a hit with snorkelers.

Coming in at No. 2 is Cala Mariolu in Baunei, Italy. Situated on the eastern coast of Sardinia, this beach is accessible only by boat or hiking trails, ensuring a private and personal experience for visitors. Framed by rugged cliffs and bold greenery, the smaller cove promises unbeatable views. Beachgoers can also hike to the surrounding cliffs for even more outlooks, some of which showcase the different hues of blue in the ocean.

The World’s 50 Best Beaches identified Meads Bay in Anguilla as the third-best beach in 2024. A favorite among locals and tourists, this long stretch of white sand is undisturbed compared to the more commercial beaches in Anguilla. The water turns a beautiful shade of turquoise and local eateries along the shore make for a perfect day at the beach. Come sunset, visitors can watch the skies turn vibrant shades of orange, pink and purple.

Rounding out the top 10 for the World’s 50 Best Beaches are Entalula Beach, Philippines; Voutoumi Beach, Greece; Turqoise Bay, Australia; Pink Beach, Indonesia; Anse Georgette, Seychelles; Green Lagoon; French Polynesia; and Horse Shoe Island, Myanmar.

Several U.S. beaches made the list this year, including Lanikai Beach, Hawai’i (No. 14); Kapalua Bay Beach, Hawai’i (No. 40); and Henderson Beach, Florida (No. 44).

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa Review

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is an award-winning resort on Coconut Road in Bonita Springs, Florida, on the Gulf Coast between Naples and Fort Myers. The property, with 26 acres of tropical landscaping, multiple water slides and numerous dining venues, is a beautiful resort. Last month, I brought my 13-year-old grandson to the property for two days of water-sliding in balmy mid-December weather.
