Airlines are in the hot seat over how they treat customers following an incident aboard an overbooked United Airlines flight last month.
But not all airlines are in hot water: Southwest is celebrating its place atop recent rankings for customer satisfaction. Among U.S. airlines, Southwest ranked Most Satisfactory in a recent study from personal finance website Wallet Hub.
The survey ranked 12 airlines in 13 categories: canceled flights, delays, mishandled baggage, denied boarding, complaints, animal-related incidents, leg room, entertainment options, WiFi, complimentary refreshments and price.
Alaska Airlines won overall, followed by Delta Air Lines and Skywest. But Southwest has the happiest customers. Frontier and Spirit had the most complaints, by a significant margin.
