ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: Driving through the neighborhoods to get to the Cameo Beverly Hills made the start of this visit to Los Angeles feel a bit slower and calmer. The property is tucked away in a very quiet residential area despite its proximity to Rodeo Drive and Century City; it proved to be the perfect location for business travelers because of the easy access from other busy areas (like West Hollywood) and the perfect setting for virtual meetings. The valet service was fast, as I arrived in the evening, but check-in was a bit slow due to updates to their POS systems.
Leaning more toward a boutique feel, warm tones and contemporary décor still delivered a polished and sophisticated experience that felt more intimate than the grand displays often seen in L.A. hotel lobbies.
GUEST QUARTERS: My Premier Beverly Hills King room (No. 804) was located on the eighth floor. Upon entry, I was immediately drawn to the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading to the balcony overlooking Beverly Hills, so I could enjoy the sunset peeking through sheer curtains. A small table with two chairs made it a convenient space to unwind after a long travel day capped by a rush-hour drive. My room was one of the 138 guestrooms carefully curated to prioritize comfort and practicality.
It featured a very cozy king-sized bed and a flat-screen TV mounted above a large dresser. A spacious and well-lit workspace made joining virtual meetings easy, while an armchair with an ottoman sat across from the desk and next to the nightstand. A large mirror was mounted to the wall closest to the sliding doors with all the natural light. The closet lacked some shelving for easier access to things but still provided enough space to store away luggage.
The bright, marbled bathroom featured a walk-in shower, his and hers sinks and enough space for one person to get ready with ease. Plush robes, BYREDO products and other amenities were convenient and added to the overall fluid and luxurious experience.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: The 24-hour fitness center proved convenient for the days with busy mornings and slower evenings; it was well-equipped with Peloton and TechnoGym equipment. WiFi is complimentary, and the property is pet-friendly. The digital key option makes late check-ins seamless and fast. Valet parking was quick, as you’re able to request your vehicle via text. The cost was $77.
The two on-site restaurants offer flexible hours, making diverse and delicious dining options available at all times. Private dining options are available inside the Rialto Room.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- Spacious and airy rooms with breathtaking views of Beverly Hills
- Quiet and peaceful at all times of the day. The entrance to the hotel offered a lot of privacy and had ample space that made valet parking during peak hours very quick.
- Walkable neighborhood with coffee shops and other dining options available
- Conveniently located a short distance from Rodeo Drive, West Hollywood and Century City
- Professional, friendly and efficient staff
