For small businesses and frequent business travelers, travel credit cards feature a variety of travel and monetary perks. Many premium business travel cardsoffer benefits that outweigh their annual fees, from airport lounge access and expedited security screening credits to bonus rewards on travel and everyday business spending. The best options also create value for the organization, allowing employees to earn rewards while giving perks across the business.

Capital One earns high marks for its Venture business card portfolio. “We have a diverse suite of products for small business owners designed to meet various business needs,” said Ami Vedak, managing vice president, Business Cards and Payments, Capital One.

For travelers seeking simplicity and premium perks, the Venture X Business card earns unlimited 2X miles on every purchase, allowing rewards to grow alongside a business. It offsets the $395 annual fee with a $300 travel credit and 10,000 bonus miles each year. Cardholders can access Capital One Lounges and Landings, featuring spaces designed for both productivity and relaxation.

According to Vedak, cardholders can use rewards however they want. They can fly any airline, stay at any hotel or transfer to 15-plus loyalty programs. Free employee cards allow teams to earn rewards while business owners gain centralized visibility into spending.

Booking through Capital One Business Travel further boosts earning potential, offering 10X miles on hotels and rental cars and 5X miles on flights. Employees retain their own airline and hotel loyalty benefits while contributing to the company’s rewards balance.

Chase also expanded business travel offerings, launching the Sapphire Reserve for Business card in 2025. The premium card carries a $795 annual fee and offers elevated rewards, including 8X points on purchases through Chase Travel, 4X points on flights and hotels booked directly, and bonus earnings on advertising expenses. For a limited time, new cardholders earn 200,000 bonus points after spending $30,000 on purchases in the first six months.

For companies seeking a lower annual fee, Chase’s Ink Business Preferred remains a popular choice, earning 3X points on major business expenses such as travel, shipping, telecommunications and digital advertising. The no-annual-fee Ink Business Unlimited card targets small businesses with an easy-to-use rewards framework and lets businesses earn cash back on expenses. Chase also offers co-branded cards tied to hotel and airline brands such as Hyatt, IHG and United Airlines.

American Express is a top contender with its Business Platinum Card. While the $895 annual fee is among the highest in the category, businesses can unlock more than $4,000 in business and travel value annually through statement credits on select purchases across travel, technology, recruiting and wireless-service credits. Benefits include 5X membership rewards points on eligible flights and prepaid hotels booked online at AmexTravel.com, airline fee credits, and access to the expansive American Express Global Lounge Collection.

The American Express Business Gold Card carries a lower annual fee at $375, while its Blue Business Plus Credit Card has no annual fee but fewer perks. Meanwhile, the U.S. Bank Business Altitude Connect Visa Signature Card combines zero fixed costs with substantial first-year bonuses, making it attractive for small businesses.
