A beloved family classic is getting ready to reopen this spring following a multimillion-dollar expansion and refurbishment. Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida, will stage its grand reopening April 6, 2019. For over three decades, the Old Town park ranked as one of the state’s most iconic destinations for family fun, with themed rides, musical acts, weekly “car cruises” and unique shops. The renovation added 12,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with a brand-new, 86-foot Ferris wheel fresh from its journey from Italy.

Each Friday and Saturday night, a car show and car cruise will take place, showcasing pre-1975 hot rods, street rods and antique cars as they make their way down Old Town’s brick streets. The Saturday Nite Classic Car Show & Cruise ranks as America’s longest-running weekly car show and cruise.

Other attractions include Mortem Haunted Manor, produced and designed by Pennsylvania’s Extreme Fear Design & Production company. The two-story manor experience includes a mix of live actors and state-of-the-art animatronics and props. There’s also The Great Magic Hall, where entertaining magic shows are scheduled throughout the day, and the Rootin & Tootin’s Shootin’ Alley where you and your kids can test your aim with a pop gun. At the Happy Days Family Fun Center, kids of all ages can enjoy more than 50 video and skill games, including classic choices like skee-ball.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
