Smartphones have come a long way, so follow these tips to get some work done on your mobile.
Keyboards
As much as everyone loves touchscreens, they will never match the feel and efficiency of typing on a real keyboard. Almost all the keyboards available for tablets are also compatible with iPhones though a Bluetooth signal. If you need to pick one up for a smartphone, look for one portable and durable enough for travel. The Logitech Keys-To-Go is a fan favorite thanks to its spill-resistant membrane and 0.25-inch thickness.
Docs and Office
Word processing, spreadsheets and presentations are no longer limited to a computer. Google has its own version of Office Suite that can be used offline before saving to the Cloud. Docs, Sheets and Slides don’t have as many features as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, but they can make crude conversions into the Microsoft format. For those who prefer Office, Microsoft now offers the Suite on iOS, Android and Windows Mobile.
Entertainment
Who’s even maintaining a media library anymore? For music, movies and books, most travelers are already on Spotify, Netflix and Amazon Kindle. Available on desktop and smartphone, most streaming services allow users to save content for offline use, meaning you won’t have to pay for your flight’s internet connection. Even for video games, only hardcore gamers will find the mobile alternatives underwhelming.
