Hyatt enters Algeria with Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport. The property is the eighth Hyatt in Africa, following two properties in Morocco, two in Tanzania, one in Egypt, one in South Africa and one in Ethiopia.
The 320-guestroom hotel is marketed toward both business and leisure travelers. It’s currently the only hotel directly connected to Houari Boumediene Airport, close to the newest terminal. Amenities include dedicated airline lounges, a Regency Club lounge, pool and large lobby.
On-site dining includes the Moorish Palmette Restaurant, offering fresh ingredients and cultural focus. The Palmette Bar offers craft cocktails and light bites, while Palmette Market sells grab ’n go sandwiches, salads, desserts and drinks.
“Algeria is a commercial hub in Africa, and we’re excited to see the Hyatt Regency brand enter the market with the opening of the hotel,” said Pascal Leprou, general manager, Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport. “With a variety of well-designed work and social spaces, our busy guests can easily stay productive while traveling. We anticipate a strong reception of the property, from both the region as well as international travelers.”
