April showers bring May flowers … and we are all anticipating spring, as many parts of the United States have seen significant travel-disrupting weather. Last fall, Superstorm Sandy hit the Northeast with a big fist; the East and the Midwest experienced a major blizzard in February. Global Traveler’s first Globility Board meeting was scheduled to happen in the middle of Sandy — thankfully, we made the executive decision to cancel and select a date in January. It pained me to do so, but it was the correct decision, as our participants would have been stranded in New York for many days. The meeting summary is in this issue; enjoy their findings.

As you read the April issue, I will have already returned from a trip to the Middle East with Wayne Tallman of the GT Advisory Board. We will be on a mission to learn more about our Gulf clients and to play a few rounds of golf for upcoming editions. So far, we have booked the Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai and are searching for a suitable course in Abu Dhabi.
