Ancient Peaks Winery sits on a vast sustainable ranch in Paso Robles, California, and invites guests to discover its surrounding nature and adventures while trying delicious wines. While wines perfectly capture the terroir, activities offered provide opportunities for visitors to get outside and explore the area.
At Ancient Peaks’ Santa Margarita Ranch, visitors can soar above mountains, pinot noir vines, oak woodlands and more on a 7,500-foot zip line course. Explore six different zip lines. One zip line lets you fly tandem with your best friend beside you. After flying, head to the ground for a walk over the canyon on the narrow 300-foot suspension bridge.
Embark on a guided horseback ride, which goes through lush creek beds, open fields with stunning views, oak and pine forests, and much more. Travelers even get to ride past a bald eagles’ nest and maybe even catch a glimpse of the majestic animal.
Learn the art of foraging on a tour with Ranch Naturalist Jacqueline Redinger. Throughout the tour, she’ll highlight different plants that can be used for nutrition and share foraged food recipes.
