American’s modesty spans the spectrum from political correctness to one-piece bathing suits. Travelers wishing to let themselves go and vacation in the buff can rejoice in the opening of Jamaica’s newest clothing-optional resort: the Grand Lido Negril.

Entirely comprised of suites (26 to be exact), the Blue Diamond Resorts property opened March 31 on the western tip of the island, just in time for the spring and summer seasons. Guests of the Grand Lido Negril have the option of wearing swimsuits or going bare in designated areas, like the private beach, pool or, of course, on their private balconies, part of every suite. However, other areas, such as the lobby and dining room, require at least partial concealment.

Grand Lido guests will also have accessibility to two neighboring resorts — the Royalton Negril and the Hideaway at Royalton — where clothing is not optional, but required, especially at the former which is a family-friendly establishment.
