For the 11^th consecutive year, Alaska Airlines ranks highest for Traditional Carriers in J.D. Power’s annual North American Airline Satisfaction Study. The airline scored 775 out of 1,000 possible points. Alaska recently added more free movies, new first class and main cabin menu items and new craft beer and local wine selections.

Alaska Airlines, headquartered in the Seattle Wash., is the fifth-largest airline in the United States, flying to more than 100 destinations in the country. The airline carries more passengers between Alaska and the contiguous United States than any other airline.

J.D. Power’s satisfaction scores are a combination of seven categories: cost and fees, in-flight services, aircraft, boarding/deplaning/baggage, flight crew, check-in and reservations.

J.D. Power offers full transparency for its survey and supplies the methodology on its website. They gather their results from a mix of almost 12,000 business and leisure passengers.

Following closely in second place was Delta Air Lines, with eight fewer points. For low-cost airlines, Southwest Airlines was the top for the second year in a row. Potential passengers should look over these scores when deciding which airline is best to use and when choosing to sign up for a rewards membership.
