Sound baths are making their way to hotels, corporate wellness programs and cultural venues to accommodate travelers looking for more immersive ways to relax and reconnect. The sound bath trend has become so popular, Atlanta Journal-Constitution named it one of 2026’s biggest wellness trends, highlighting how the practice is becoming a mainstream wellness experience.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Chicago is the latest to join the trend with Frequency Float, a private floating sound bath experience for groups. The hotel’s indoor pool transforms into a candlelit sanctuary where guests float weightlessly during a 45-minute guided meditation, complete with immersive sound vibrations traveling through the water to create a calm and restorative experience.

Frequency Float is designed for up to 18 guests and offers a new twist to traditional group gatherings like birthday parties, bridal parties, girls’ nights and more. Groups will also have complimentary access to The Ritz-Carlton Spa’s amenities, like the steam room, sauna, poolside lounge and lockers. Participants can even upgrade their experience with enhancements like food and beverage offerings and custom event signage.

Can’t get enough? Keep wellness treatments going with restorative massages, beauty treatments and a facial in the first Luzern-branded facial suite in the United States.

Review: Bodysgallen Hall

The National Trust owns more than 500 historic buildings across the United Kingdom, each offering a vivid sense of its particular era. In common with many visitors, I often find myself wondering what it would be like to actually live in such a place. Imagine sitting, for instance, in one of those ancient oak-paneled drawing rooms at night, with the fire roaring and the wind rattling the ancient mullioned windows. I didn’t have to imagine it. Here I was, immersed in history in 17th-century Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales.

Why Japan Is Best Explored by Sea with Princess

Japan is a destination that rewards repeat visits because no two regions — or seasons —  feel quite the same. One moment, you’re wandering through centuries-old geisha districts in Kanazawa. The next, you’re watching neon reflections dance across Tokyo streets long after midnight.

Airlines Follow a Multistep Process to Ensure Delicious Dining in the Sky

When you’re floating above the clouds and a meal arrives in front of you, it’s easy to disregard the various procedures and logistics it took for it to seemingly appear out of thin air. In-flight catering is a bit like restaurant service in this way, following a careful chain of sourcing, planning and development ... just on a more global scale.
