Lately, southern Florida has been on the rather chilly side, lasting most of January and into the beginning of February. Luckily, before the cooler weather, I enjoyed a beautiful day at Boca Grande. Come with me as I recap my island day.

It was a sunny, warm day I knew I should take full advantage of given cooler weather was coming. However, I wanted to take a run before enjoying my much-needed beach day. Like many others, fitness and overall wellness play a part in my 2026 New Year’s resolutions. I thought a run at Boca Grande around beautiful beach homes would be a great start to a Saturday.

During my run I took in the atmosphere of others enjoying the warm day  walking or on golf carts. I also enjoyed the stunning view of coastal beach homes and the various plant life. I, of course, was also daydreaming about the homes and living life on Boca Grande. Maybe one day!

After finishing my run with a walk to cool down, I made my way over to Bella Vida Juice & Smoothie Bar for something light and refreshing. My go-to açai bowl is always topped with fresh strawberries and pineapple, my two favorite fruits. I included coconut shavings and chia seeds as well. I decided to pair my acai bowl with a delicious smoothie with added vanilla protein.

After finishing lunch, I headed to the beach and enjoyed a good book while getting my tan on.
