Japan Airlines announced its decision to expand its Advance Seat Selection Service by offering extra legroom seats on international flights. These seats include those in exit rows and became available Nov. 10, via JAL’s website.
All international tickets are eligible for the new service, for flights departing on or after Dec. 3, and for those traveling in economy class. Routes to and from Canada are currently excluded, but will be offered once relevant approvals are received.
Flights from Japan to North America, Europe, Hawai’i, Australia and India will be charged JPY10,000, or approximately $95. During the reservation process, travelers can select and purchase an extra legroom seat on the advance seat selection system. In the JAL SKY WIDER economy-class section, the available seats are in rows 18 and 45, and include seats A, C, D, E, F, G, H and K. For previously ticketed reservations, purchase seats in advance on JAL’s website through the Manage Flight Booking section.
