The antidote to ice and snow? Surfing in Costa Rica. No worries if “hang ten” sounds like a foreign language. The pros at Surf Simply will help you dig your toes out of the sand and explore the world of wave riding, regardless of your experience level. The all-inclusive one- and two-week surfing camps take place in tropical Nosara, headed up by a team of six International Surfing Association and International Life Saving Federation qualified professionals who excel in technical surf coaching. Camps are limited to 12 guests, and lessons include video feedback, theory lessons and in-water coaching.

Camps include instruction, all meals and accommodations (including the option of a private bungalow), airport transfers, and an option of daily surfing-focused yoga or full-body massage. Downtime activities on your Wednesday “day off” include a choice of quad biking, zip lining with a waterfall swim, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, sport fishing, climbing, an ATV trail tour, or horseback riding through jungle trails and along the beach. There’s also an opportunity to visit the howler monkeys at Nosara Wildlife Rescue Center and SIBU Sanctuary. Admission is free, but Surf Simply makes a donation for each Surf Simply guest who visits the sanctuary.
