More and more, health-conscious travelers look for travel-friendly products made with organic, natural ingredients. Here’s what we’ve found.

Buckler's

Buckler’s

This line of natural, botanically rich skincare is free of parabens, petroleum and synthetic fragrances. Never tested on animals, the company was founded with the wildly successful Buckler’s Chapped Skin Remedy. The line now includes a Daily Face Repair formula, Chapped Lip Remedy, Daily Defense Kit, Moisture Rich Soap and Skin Rescue Essentials Kit. There’s also an Overnight Recovery Cream and Revitalize Face Oil, perfect for making your skin look as though it loves those trans-Atlantic flights.

Clove + Hallow lip products

A swipe of the right color across your lips can brighten even the most travel-wearied smile. End your overnight journey with a moisturizing, reviving shade from Clove + Hallow. Crafted from castor and sunflower oils with natural and organic jojoba, the company’s products are vegan and PETA-certified cruelty-free. Plus, the entire line is created with the Clean15 system using 15 or fewer safe ingredients, and is gluten- and soy-free. Color choices include Flaming Coral, Damsel, Creamsicle, Sugared Plum and Ballerina Slippers.

Face Atelier

This line of cruelty-free products made in Canada is never animal tested, and was recognized by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics Leaping Bunny Program. They’re also free of flavorings and fragrances, and the company is in the process of becoming completely vegan. Stash a travel-sized compact of Ultra Loose Powder in your bag to give your skin a fresh, finished glow before you push your passport across the countertop at the airport. Made with a disappearing milled setting powder, it minimizes pores, reduces shine and has an optical blurring pigment to banish wrinkles and imperfections. It’s available in four shades including translucent, and comes with a specially designed twist-lock cap to keep the powder in the jar beneath the sifter, instead of all over the place.

Gaffer & Child

This luxurious line of handmade vegan skincare is created with a cold-press extraction process to maintain the efficacy of the plant-based ingredients, which include Argan oil and vitamin E. All ingredients are organic, non-GMO, Fair Trade, cruelty-free and 96-percent locally sourced. No synthetics, petroleum or artificial dyes are used. Based in Los Angeles, the company’s Fair Trade LA and PETA affiliations add an additional sense of wellbeing. Load your travel bag with a light heart and the collection’s hydrating serum, facial cleanser, shaving butter, hair pomade and facial scrub. Travel kits in a heavy-zippered canvas bag are ready to go. There’s even a tortoise brown wide-tooth hair comb made from recycled materials.

Lavido Inspired by Nature

Nothing is more convenient when packing for a trip than grabbing a handful of perfectly sized, individually wrapped skincare products that can be dropped into your toiletry bag. Ido Magal, whose childhood was filled with horses and honeybees, founded Israel-based natural skincare company Lavido Inspired by Nature. Products include cleansers, creams, lotions, body washes, facial serums, soaps, lip balms, toners and exfoliating masks made with water from the Sea of Galilee, and organic oils collected from fruits, vegetables, nuts and other botanicals growing in the Galilee Valley. Depending upon the specific product, ingredients may include lemon myrtle, calendula, black cumin seed, frankincense, rose hip, sea buckthorn, tea tree and vanilla.

Purequosa

Crafted with colloidal silver for natural odor control and to control bacteria growth, this shower-in-a-bottle is a brilliant addition to a travel kit. The lightly scented cleansing spray is made by hand in small batches in San Clemente, Calif., and its pump spray and two-ounce size means TSA will let you through (unless your trying to smuggle an iguana home from Mexico). Use it before and after a workout or flight on feet, armpits and other perspiration zones. It’s gentle enough for children, and contains plant hydryosols, also known as floral waters. This botanical infusion is created in a steam distilling process that separates essential oils from other plant materials. Scent choices include Recovery, Energy, Mist, Coastal, Rain, Cove, Desert and Ridge.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
