Celebrating its partnership with the 2015 Citi Open tennis tournament, Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. is serving up a special rate for guests attending the event (Aug. 1 – 9).

The largest hotel in the nation’s capital teamed up with the 2015 Citi Open to be the official headquarters hotel for the tournament. The 1,175-room property, conveniently located near public transit for guests to easily get to Rock Creek Park Tennis Center to watch a match, will be a hub of activity for the star athletes and tennis fans.

“We are thrilled to be selected as the official host hotel for the 2015 Citi Open,” said Dan Nadeau, general manager, Marriott Marquis Washington DC. “Since opening in May 2014, our hotel has sought to support the city’s tourism and events endeavors, and we look forward to welcoming both the athletes and tournament crowds to the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C.”

This year, the Citi Open will welcome one of its most highly anticipated fields to date, including Andy Murray, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori, John Isner and the Bryan Brothers. When not on the court or watching the star athletes duel for the championship, both players and spectators can take advantage of the hotel’s state-of-the-art, bi-level fitness center, the largest hotel gym in Washington, D.C.

“Hotel accommodation is one of the most critical elements for player experience — it sets the tone for the tournament,” said Jeff Newman, tournament director. “The Marriott Marquis has the ambience and reputation we’re looking for to represent the event in order to give the players the best D.C. experience possible.”

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
