Off the Map Travel now offers guests the unique opportunity to watch the Northern Lights from an outdoor bed on an open-air balcony for unobstructed views of the night sky and stars. The experience is available at the new Villa Telegrafbukta in Tromsø, Norway.

“The Aurora bed is dressed for warmth and comfort with layers of sheep wool, pillows and goose down duvets. It’s an amazing experience where you can lie back and take in the spectacular Arctic night sky in perfect communion with nature,” said Jonny Cooper, founder, Off the Map Travel.

The Aurora in Bed experience includes special amenities, such as a personal hostess, private chef, private rooftop balcony and 24/7 chauffeur-driven Tesla. The villa sleeps six and sleeping arrangements range from the outdoor bed on the balcony to an indoor master suite with floor-to-ceiling windows.

For extra fees, guests can add massages and beauty treatments at their villa; hire a private helicopter or mini-yacht to explore the surrounding regions; dog sled; and snowmobile.

The experience is available September through March for $3,089 per person based on a group of six adults.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
