From the whimsical headboards in the deluxe king rooms to the cruelty-free vegan bath products to the elegant dining options, the new Versante Hotel is the latest in the Vancouver area’s must-visit boutique lodging. Located just outside of the city in Richmond, Versante is equipped with 100 guestrooms and suites, each featuring river and mountain views.

Room décor varies between five individual themes created by local CHIL Interior Design. Luxury touches in most guestrooms and suites include Dyson Supersonic hair dryers, generously proportioned rainforest showers, freestanding soaker tubs and heated floors in spa-like bathrooms. The 24-hour fitness center is fitted with Peloton bikes and cardio equipment by Life Fitness. Pre- or post-workout, guests can enjoy the serenity of the rooftop terrace and its saltwater pool and hot tub. Guests can also enjoy contactless check-in and check-out and lighting controls that can be operated through the Versante app.

The newly opened 2,275-square-foot Versante Suite features two bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, walk-out balcony and original artwork displayed throughout. Along with custom furnishings, the main bedroom boasts a king-sized leather platform bed, chaise lounge and en-suite bath with floor-to-ceiling Calcutta marble, as well as a 100-square-foot walk-in closet with custom millwork.

Book a table at Club Versante’s Bruno and Cask Whisky Vault, where the best of British Columbia’s farm produce and culinary products are the focus. At Cask Whisky Vault, low-key dining is accompanied by one of Canada’s most exciting international whisky collections. The restaurant features a 30-foot bar, robata grill and live entertainment. Intimate dining spaces are augmented by two private dining areas that can accommodate up to 10 guests each.
