United Airlines will start flying hourly shuttle flights between Washington, D.C., and the New York City area March 29.
There will be 13 daily flights between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Tickets went on sale Jan. 18.
The airline will fly the route with a Bombardier CRJ-550 on most flights, designed for business and leisure travelers with first-class seating, WiFi access, additional legroom and ample space for each passenger’s carry-on bag.
“Our customers who regularly travel between Washington, D.C. and New York — one of the busiest routes in the country — have told us they value convenient flights and a comfortable ride above all else,” said Sarah Murphy, senior vice president, United Express. “With our new shuttle service aboard the one-of-a-kind CRJ-550, United Airlines is the only carrier to deliver both.”
The new route will crown United with more travel connections between Washington D.C., and New York City than any other airline in the world.
