United Airline’s Airplane in Denver, Colorado

Daily

United Airlines will add four new flights from Denver International Airport in an attempt to compete with regional rival Frontier Airlines.

United will add daily services to Greenville Spartanburg (GSP), South Carolina; Syracuse (SYR), New York, June 6; and seasonal weekend service to Portland (PWM), Maine, beginning June 8. These mirror routes already offered by Frontier Airlines.

The airline is also adding Sunday flights to three existing routes from Denver: Burlington (BVT), Vermont; Savannah (SAV), Georgia; and Pensacola (PNS), Florida. Flights to Fort Myers (RSW), Florida, are being expanded from daily winter flights only to summer weekends.

United previously announced new routes from Denver to Charleston (CHS), South Carolina; Eureka (ACV), California; and Fairbanks (FAI), Alaska, starting June 6.

Denver is United’s “fastest-growing hub, with a record of more than 500 daily departures this summer,” said Steve Jaquith, Denver VP, United. “With the enhanced schedule, we’ll reduce the amount of time customers will spend waiting at the airport and provide better options to customers arriving on flights from smaller markets to get to destinations east and west of Denver.”

The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
