Hawai’i Triennial 2025

Through May 4, check out the fourth edition of one of Hawai’i’s largest contemporary art exhibitions. The exhibition’s theme, ALOHA NO, means love or greetings, and features a curated lineup of artists and organizational partners with pieces meant to communicate the importance of understanding love.

Honolulu Festival

Celebrate the 29th anniversary of Honolulu Festival, from March 7–9. This festival highlights the vibrant cultures of the island through art, performances, educational programming and more.

Hawai’i Volunteer Month

April brings a statewide initiative to encourage visitors and locals to participate in community engagement and volunteerism. Volunteer Month events and opportunities include cleanups, cultural projects and other community-driven events.

Lei Day Celebration

On May 1, join the community for a cherished tradition celebrated across Hawai’i since 1927: Lei Day Celebration. This celebration honors the lei, a symbol of love, respect and the spirit of Aloha.

While in Hawai’i, consider staying at one of Aqua-Aston Hospitality’s properties such as Aston Waikiki Beach Tower, Aqua Palm Waikiki, Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites and more. Guests staying at any of these properties can dive deeper into Hawaiian culture with complimentary access for two to Bishop Museum and Honolulu Museum of Art, where they can learn about the island’s art, history and culture.

Through my smartphone, I benefited from a science that began, in its modern form, in that very room. There, in 1850, the Royal Meteorological Society was founded.
