Twilight Tours Through Napa Valley Wine Country

Best wine tourism idea ever: Park the car and let the Napa Valley Wine Train carry you through California’s famous wine region in comfort and high style. The historic passenger train — made of beautifully restored vintage Pullman rail cars with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions and deep, luxurious armchairs — is an elegant way to explore some of the top wineries in Napa Valley, now with both daytime and nighttime tour options. In addition to day excursions, new Twilight Private Tours will journey to Raymond Vineyards or Grgich Hills Estate with onboard gourmet appetizers and wine tastings pre-vineyard tour, and dessert and coffee on the return journey. While at the vineyard, guests will enjoy an exclusive dinner.

The Quattro Vino tours feature four itinerary options: Legacy (tastings and tours at Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug and V. Sattui); Estate (tastings and tours at Domain Chandon, Hall and Inglenook); Collective (tastings and tours at Raymond, Beringer and St. Supéry); and a fourth, soon-to-be-unveiled route. Each tour begins with a sparkling wine tasting before a four-course dinner whipped up by Napa Valley Wine Train’s executive chef Donald Young. Each six-hour tour departs from the station at 10:15 a.m. and returns at 4:15 p.m. Tickets begin at $329 per person. Train fare, dinner, tours and tastings are included. Twilight Tours, limited to Saturdays, depart at 5:45 p.m. and return at 10:15 p.m. Tickets begin at $339 per person. The station is located in downtown Napa, and transportation via luxury coach and ferry is available to and from San Francisco.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
