Book lovers won’t want to miss this upcoming event at Hotel AKA Alexandria. The Spooky Silent Reading Party adds to Old Town Alexandria’s attraction for book lovers, proving literary escapes are more popular than ever.

Through a partnership with local Old Town Books, Silent Reading Party allows bookworms and story seekers to have a screen-free, autumn-infused afternoon in a dreamy atmosphere.
With this month’s party marking the hotel’s fifth reading party of the year, these spellbinding events have become a highlight of Alexandria’s literary scene. The last gathering sold out within hours and attracted readers from all over the East Coast.
The event draws many thanks to its unique reading spaces where guests can snuggle up with their book in the hotel’s modern, artful spaces. The event also features bookish and bewitching cocktails with literary themes that pair perfectly with a good book. There’s a bookmark workshop with Relume, where guests can create a bookmark and choose from a variety of charms, from timeless pieces to spooky designs to go along with the Halloween season.
