London’s newest hotel, The BoTree, announced its grand opening for July 2023. The property, in the center of London’s West End, features 199 rooms and 29 suites, as well as two destination restaurants, one featuring panoramic rooftop views of the city.
Guestrooms and suites see colorful, natural fabrics woven with eclectic textures to capture the spirit of the city. Each room welcomes guests with a reception space separated by sliding panels leading to bedrooms and lounge areas, complete with luxurious furnishings. Suites also include a balcony, personal bar and integrated cocktail station for an elevated entertaining space. The largest of these suites, the presidential suite, promises views across central London, with a private elevator lobby, guest entrance and outdoor terrace.
‘The BoTree combines uncompromising standards with a purpose-driven approach to establish our own form of luxury. Conscious luxury,” said Rishi Sachdev, founder, The BoTree, Middle Eight and The Guardsman. “Our core values of Truth, Love and Compassion will drive our business decisions in this new hotel.”
The BoTree, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, also plans to include a live music club, boutique screening room and fitness center. Welcoming floor hosts await to fulfill guests’ needs throughout their stay.
Just steps away from Oxford Street and connected to Bond Street tube station, The BoTree allows guests to discover the city’s sights and events as seamlessly as possible.
After a stressful pre-holiday season and a busy work schedule, there was no better time for a relaxing spa experience than during my recent trip to Pasadena with the FXExpress Publications, Inc. team. We headed to The Langham Huntington, Pasadena for the 20th anniversary of the GT Tested Reader Survey awards, which meant a jam-packed trip, but I managed to carve a little time out of our busy schedule to visit Chuan Spa at the hotel.

You know what you’re going to get at an Aman hotel, and also you don’t. Expect peerless service, obsessive attention to detail, architectural elegance worthy of a fashion magazine, a holistic approach to wellness and astounding levels of comfort. But each property is also intimately connected to its setting, and that’s where the surprises lie. For instance, finding yourself on your knees on a sidewalk in Luang Prabang handing out sticky rice to Buddhist monks at 5:30 a.m. isn’t something we expected.
