Bring home a bit of Bali from your next exotic island getaway in the form of recipes and cooking tips mastered during a half-day course at Jimbaran Bay Cooking Academy at Four Seasons Bali Jimbaran Bay. Chef Anak Agung Kristya Yudha leads guests through the preparation of traditional dishes from Bali, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi and Sumatra including bebek betutut (roasted duck wrapped in banana leaf) from Bali and es doger (young coconut, tapioca pearls and cassava with sweet milk) from Java. There’s also a morning market tour prior to the cooking class.
Located on Bali’s southern coast among 35 acres of gardens, the resort includes 147 villas and nine expansive residence villas ranging from 11,000–24,000 square feet, each with round-the-clock butler service. Along with the cooking school, amenities include an oceanfront spa offering Balinese Ayurvedic healing rituals, yoga sessions in oceanside gazebos open to the surrounding sea breezes, and four separate restaurants with evening entertainment including authentic music and dance.
