The region boasts a variety of outdoor activities, highlighting its local trails and lakes. There are more than 1,500 marked mountain bike trails throughout Graubunden. Be sure to check out the 200-plus mile trail between the Vorab glacier and Rhine Gorge. Spend time exploring the river rafting, kayaking and biking options at Rhine Gorge.
See Graubunden’s many lakes during your visit. Lake Davos offers swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing opportunities. Lake Cauma boasts stunning, almost iridescent water. Hike the trails along the lake.
Take part in the region’s unique Foxtrails scavenger hunt. Available in several locations, the activity follows the trail of a figurative fox. Participants must crack codes, decipher messages and traverse through various terrain.
Don’t miss out on the spectacular Festival da Jazz. Returning after a two-year pause due to COVID-19, the summer music festival celebrates its 15th showing. This year’s festival runs July 7–31, and features a lineup of about 60 performances.
Several hotels throughout the region debut exciting renovations. Valbella Resort is slated to debut a multifaceted renovation on Aug. 26. Cresta Palace Hotel debuts revamped rooms on July 8. Hotel Schweizerhof Lenzerheide recently reopened with a redesigned spa. Art Boutique Hotel Monopol St. Moritz is currently undergoing guestroom renovations.
