In a unique collaboration, Ace Hotels recruited a consortium of alternative artists to record and document the sounds of the cities where Ace Hotels are located.
As they moved through each city, Lucky Dragons (Downtown Los Angeles), Aino Tytti (London), Farmer Dave (Palm Springs), Diamond Terrifier (NYC), World Gang (Seattle and Portland) and Ingmar Herrera (Panama) collected field recordings — aural snapshots of time and space, capturing the energy of the environment. Dubbed Listen Up, the collection is available online at blog.acehotel.com/listen.
Ace Hotels invites people around the world to make their own recordings and share them on Facebook or Twitter by tagging #acebroadcast.
