With an opening just around the corner, akyra Manor Hotel Chiang Mai is set to debut on Thailand’s luxury lodging scene. Positioned on the city’s famed coffee street, Nimmanhaemin Soi 9, the all-suite property is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the Word and is part of AHMS – The Collection, an award-winning Thai boutique hotel group. Designer Chaw Chih Wen of Manor Studios led a team who shaped an interior landscape of indulgence, fitted with naturally derived body-care products, 430 thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, smart technology, large LCD televisions with cable, fully stocked minibars, complimentary WiFi, outdoor hot tubs and espresso coffee machines.

In a setting rimmed with vibrant cityscapes, jungles and temples, the new hotel includes Rise, a sophisticated rooftop pool bar where guests can enjoy skyline views and creative cocktails. Hotel amenities also include a transparent walled pool, and an ever-changing gallery of art and creative works. Italics, the fine-dining restaurant, offers a strong focus on the slow-food movement and locally sourced ingredients — many originating on the country’s very first organic rooftop nursery. The menu features haute Italian cuisine. The 30 guest accommodations include 23 deluxe suites with 610 square feet of living space, and seven manor suites encompassing 1,050 square feet of personal space.
