Known for extreme luxury, stunning spas and a roster of wellness opportunities, Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will soon have new mountaintop and beachside addresses — both with planned openings in 2020. In Switzerland, the new Six Senses Crans-Montana will be a sanctuary in the gorgeous Swiss Alps. Located about two hours via train or car from Geneva, the property will have on-site ski-in/ski-out access, two restaurants, a sun terrace, bar and retail space. Lodging will include 47 guestrooms and suites, along with 17 Six Senses residential units including three-bedroom lofts and four-bedroom living configurations. As with all Six Senses properties, wellness is a big focus, and the new hotel will be no exception. A 22,000-square-foot spa is in the works, with a menu of alpine-themed treatments and therapies. A fitness studio, gym, pool and suspended relaxation area are also part of the design. Architects and designers will choose local, recycled and repurposed materials in keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

Six SensesIn Spain’s Balearic Islands, Six Senses Ibiza will occupy a spot on the island of Ibiza’s northern point at Cala Xarraca Bay, offering guests rocky beaches, sunset views and yacht access. The property will be a full-service resort, spa and residential community with multiple dining experiences and entertainment concepts. The property will encompass 134 guest accommodations located on 25 acres. Categories include Townhouse Suites, Deluxe Pool Suites with private decks, Beach Cave Suites and two six-bedroom mansions. Residences include nine private villas in an area above the main resort. Wellness initiatives include sustainable operating practices; organic foods and bedding; and a spiritual learning center with programs centered on fitness, nutrition, education, yoga, sleep, mindfulness and other wellness practices. At the on-site organic farm, a pop-up restaurant will offer cooking classes, enabling guests to learn healthy food preparation practices they can enjoy at home.

Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review

Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
