Singapore Airlines unveiled plans to increase service to Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia and West Asia during the busy summer travel season to help meet what it calls growing demand.
The carrier will add the following services to Australia:
- Three weekly flights to Melbourne (MEL) from July 7 (up from 28 to 31 flights per week)
- Four weekly services to Brisbane (BNE) from Aug. 22 (up from 24 to 28 flights per week)
- Two additional flights per week to Sydney (SYD) from June 4 (up from 31 to 33 flights per week), plus an extra four frequencies (taking the total to 35) during the peak period between June 18–Sept. 30
In addition, flights to Rome (FCO) will double to four times a week starting in July. Flights to Moscow (DME) will see an extra weekly service.
For Southeast Asia, Bangkok (BKK) will see an increase from five to six flights per day starting March 25. Flights to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) will increase from 17 to 19 flights a week. Singapore Airlines is adding an extra flight each week to Ahmedabad (AMD) starting March 26, and increasing service to Dhaka (DAC) from seven to 10 flights a week starting July 19.
