Set to open in 2026, Rosewood San Francisco will be the last skyscraper developed in the downtown region for the foreseeable future. The projected 800-foot-tall property will host a hotel, residences, office and rental spaces. The brand’s third property in California will join Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, and Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito.
In the prime location of the Transbay District, the hotel will host 180 guestrooms and suites surrounded by iconic landmarks, neighborhoods and attractions like the 5.4-acre, elevated Salesforce Park. The park is a top international destination featuring a 1,000-person amphitheater, children’s play area, interactive art installations and walking trails.
The hotel will boast stunning views of the surrounding city and park with amenities focused on forward-thinking wellness concepts. A movement studio, fully equipped fitness center and indoor lap pool support the health ideation.
Event spaces, a signature indoor-outdoor restaurant and a patisserie will offer guests a place to dine with a living room to retire for relaxation. The Manor Club is the hotel’s signature private lounge concept.
“As one of the most dynamic and innovative cities in North America, San Francisco offers an eclectic mix of culture, cuisine, art, technology and adventure, and is an ideal destination for the Rosewood brand,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer, Rosewood Hotel Group. “We are thrilled to be a part of this revolutionary new development and look forward to providing our affluential explorers and San Franciscans alike with a stylish and refined new icon to enjoy for years to come.”

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
