In celebration of its third year of daily, non-stop flights between Philadelphia (PHL) and Doha (DOH), and to thank the Philadelphia community for embracing the airline, Qatar Airways donated amenity kits to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia last month.

The airline’s children’s amenity kits, updated earlier this year in partnership with Hasbro Inc., feature a variety of plush toys, children’s activity kits and in-flight lunch boxes to entertain the airline’s youngest travelers on long-haul flights.

Children received Elefun and Mr. Potato Head, as well as classic games including Clue Junior, Guess Who and Monopoly.

“Philadelphia has been tremendously welcoming to Qatar Airways during the past three years, and we wanted to thank the community with this special gift to the children at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. These amenity kits have been favorites among our young travelers, and we hope they bring the same joy to the children and families at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Qatar Airways is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which it serves, and we look forward to many more years of serving Philadelphia with superior service inflight and locally,” said Gunter Saurwein, vice president, Americas, Qatar Airways.

Qatar is the only carrier offering non-stop flights from Philadelphia to Qatar, connecting travelers to destinations across Africa, Asia and India via Doha.

Also in August, Qatar celebrated 10 years of flying to Washington, D.C. (IAD), by partnering with District Doughnut to treat the D.C. community and the airline’s passengers to handcrafted, specially designed doughnuts. The airline also celebrated its one-year anniversary in Atlanta (ATL) with a surprise event at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, during which travelers enjoyed cake and peach iced tea.
